The Festival programme looks to be a very comprehensive and valuable resource which will help the industry navigate new streaming technology and understand its potential.

For me personally, I think this is a seminal moment in the history of TV – we rarely see changes that not only shift what’s possible technologically, but also shift the balance of power within the commissioning and financial structures.  This will inevitably lead to a re-balance and, if used judiciously, a much more diverse and egalitarian media landscape that has the power to change outcomes for the whole planet.  I hope that doesn’t sound too dramatic, but there is an opportunity here and I sincerely hope the industry grabs it!
